Leibowitz, Yeshayahu

(1903-94)
   Israeli scientist and writer. He was born in Riga. He emigrated to Palestine in 1935 and became professor of organic chemistry, biochemistry and neurophysiology at the Hebrew University. He has written studies of Maimonides, Jewish Orthodoxy and Israeli politics.
